At Burread Bakery, we believe that good bread brings people together. Our passion is crafting fresh, high-quality baked goods using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Every loaf, pastry, and treat we make is a reflection of our commitment to quality and community.
Burread Bakery was founded by Michael Burr, whose culinary journey began as a chef before he discovered his true passion for baking. While living in Slovakia to be with his future wife, Monika, Michael was inspired by the traditions of European bread-making. What started as a chef’s curiosity grew into a lifelong love for the craft, and eventually into a vision: to share that same warmth and authenticity with the community here at home.
Today, Burread Bakery is more than a place to pick up bread — it’s a place where traditions are honored, flavors are celebrated, and every customer is treated like family. Whether you’re stopping by for your daily loaf or treating yourself to something sweet, we’re proud to share our story — and our oven — with you.
The name Burread Bakery comes from our family name, Burr, combined with our passion for bread. It’s a simple, personal way of connecting who we are with what we love to do — baking high-quality breads and pastries for our community.
